Having problems with Trk.readergo.org “virus” on your android device? You’ve come to the right place!
Let’s start by clarifying something – Trk.readergo.org “virus” is not an actual virus. Many readers refer to Trk.readergo.org as virus, but this is something different. Let us explain. We know how it goes – you download an app and install it and not after a long time you start seeing all sorts of annoying adverts all over your device’s screen. Some people, when faced with that nagging issue, start to panic, thinking that their android smartphone has been infected by some sort of a malicious virus. We are here to tell you that there’s probably no need to worry – if the annoying ads are the most problematic issue you currently have with your device, then it’s most likely not a virus but an browser hijacker like, for example, Trk.readergo.org – one of the newest of its type.
But what is browser hijacker?
browser hijacker is a specific type of software that is usually considered unwanted due to its tendency to nag you by constantly displaying various kinds of ads on your device’s screen. browser hijacker programs are most commonly distributed among Windows computers. However, there are very few platforms that do not have browser hijacker versions for them. As you can probably see by now, android is not among the few exceptions.
Handling Trk.readergo.org
One of the main differences between a PC browser hijacker and its android counterpart is that a browser hijacker for android does not come as a separate app. In most cases browser hijackers such as Trk.readergo.org get integrated within another third-party app as an added feature. Obviously, this is a feature that you wouldn’t want if given the choice. Unfortunately, here you usually don’t have the option to retain the actual app, while leaving its browser hijacker’s part out. That is why if you currently have Trk.readergo.org on your smartphone, the best (and probably only) way to get rid of it is to uninstall the app that contains it. That is also our advice to you – remove the browser hijacker-containing app as soon as possible. We’ve provided our readers with a guide, just below this article, on how to do that, so that you can go there once you finish reading.
Important advice
Last but not least, we should let you know that even though most browser hijacker are considered safe and harmless to your device, you should still know that some of the ads they display may contain certain security hazards. Therefore, we strongly advise you to avoid interacting with any of those intrusive pop-ups. Most ads you see are usually not harmful. Still, you can never be 100% sure and there’s just no need for any unnecessary risks.
