It’s also very probable that your default search engine and homepage had been changed to something unfamiliar. All of this can be annoying to the point, where you no longer want to use your favorite browser to surf the Internet and might even be thinking of changing your device – all to get rid of the rage-inducing advertisements. Well, fortunately you don’t need to resort to such drastic measures. Below you will find a very user-friendly guide that will walk you through the process of removing this nuisance once and for all. Before you get to that, however, it’ important that you are aware of the nature of what you’re dealing with in order to effectively avoid it in the future.
What SpeedFileFast does
Apart from annoying you with its many ads, tampering with your browser settings and turning your browsing experience into a living hell, browser hijackers perform the covert operation of gathering intel on you. Don’t worry, it’s not like spyware or any other form of virus for that matter. It simply monitors your browsing patterns and processes this information for the purpose of producing more ads that are relevant to you. The goal of the developers behind the SpeedFileFast “Virus” is to get you to click on as many ads as possible, because each time you do so – they gain from it. The flip side of this is that once the information regarding your browsing habits is no longer of use to them, they tend to sell it to various third parties. Another substantial drawback to dealing with browser hijackers is that some of the ads distributed by it can be fake. They might even redirect you to malicious websites, filled with dangerous viruses like ransomware and Trojans. Therefore, we recommend not interacting with any of the banner and popups to minimize the risk of a potential infection.
