Llguucpwnt.pw is one of the latest browser hijackers to be bugging android device users. It integrates with your browser and floods it with unwanted, obstructive ads. Pop-ups, banners, box messages and other types of online advertising materials may sometimes expand across the screen, covering whatever webpage you were on and making further navigation impossible. Sometimes they might even prove incredibly difficult to close and occasionally they might lead to your browser crashing. All of this is without a doubt very annoying and must be driving you up the wall by now, which is exactly why you’re here. We have just the thing for you: a removal guide that will help you effectively and safely remove Llguucpwnt.pw from your phone or tablet, ridding it of the nuisance once and for all.
But first – some basics. Is Llguucpwnt.pw really a “virus”?
Contrary to the majority of opinions on the matter Llguucpwnt.pw is not to be considered a virus. When dealing with any kind of problem, technical or not, it’s essential to understand what it is how it works. With browser hijackers it’s pretty simple: they were created to generate the numerous ads you’ve already seen with the intention of attracting clicks (taps). Each time a user interacts with the ad (other than closing it, of course), revenue is generated for the developers. This is the famous Pay per click scheme at work, which is a successful online business strategy. However, the nature of this strategy leads to some rather questionable actions on the part of the developers. First of all, hijackers are known to be able to collect information related to the browsing habits of a given users. This information is later processed in order to match the next wave of adverts to the user’s specific preferences, in order to make them more appealing. Alone this fact has led many to label browser hijackers as harmful and viruses, which is understandable, because this act can be viewed as a privacy violation. Nonetheless, Llguucpwnt.pw is not a virus and cannot really compare to much more serious threats like spyware or ransomware. That being said, though, the practice of customizing ads to fit separate users’ needs doesn’t necessarily mean that those ads answer to actual products or services. It might happen that by following one of the banners or box messages you discover quite the opposite and in particularly rare cases you end up on an illegal or malicious website. It’s places like those that are teeming with real viruses, which might just find a weak point in your phone’s system and exploit it to infect you.
