Welcome to our Freefixphone Android removal instructions. They should work on most Android devices.
Dealing with Freefixphone – an android browser hijacker
It’s widely known how annoying browser hijacker programs can be. They fill your screen with all sorts of annoying ads and heavily obstruct your normal working process to the point where you feel like throwing your PC or smartphone out of the window. In this article, we will help you deal with Freefixphone – android browser hijacker.
Freefixphone.pw installation
Firstly, you need to know how these programs actually get installed on your device. Unlike a browser hijacker for PC, there’s basically only one method via which you can get an browser hijacker on your smartphone – via an app you’ve downloaded. In fact, in most cases the browser hijacker is a component integrated within different apps instead of a separate application. Therefore, if you’ve downloaded an app and it does what it’s supposed to do, but it also annoys you with intrusive adverts, then you’ll probably have to get rid of the whole app to remove the browser hijacker part. If you want to avoid getting applications that have browser hijacker components in them, make sure to research them before downloading them onto your device.
Freefixphone “Virus” is not a virus
Secondly, we need to make it clear that Freefixphone and other similar browser hijacker apps are not malicious and usually pose no danger to your device. There’s a big difference between a browser hijacker and viruses. While the latter can steal personal information and render your device useless, the latter are simply unwanted due to their intrusive behaviour with their ads that constantly pop-up on your screen. Again although most people refer to it as Freefixphone “virus” this is not actually a virus or malware.
Potential problems
However, sometimes, some of the ads they display might contain potential security hazards. Therefore, try to do your best to avoid tapping on any of those ads you see on your screen. We know that it could be pretty difficult to do that, especially since they might not leave you other choice. Still, it’s best if you do not interact with them whatsoever since they might redirect you to websites that may be illegal and possibly even harmful. Anyway, this happens rarely and in most cases the ads you see, despite being rage-inducing, are harmless.
