If you’ve been infected by Flquabminc, there’s pretty much no way you can mistake it for something else. The characteristic ads, the altered browser settings noticeable within only a few seconds after you’ve opened the browser on your android device – these are all tell-tale signs of a browser hijacker being present on your phone or tablet. Though the term might sound scary, it’s not really a reason to panic. Our removal guide below will help you uninstall this intrusive program called Flquabminc and successfully remove all of its components. But before you scroll on to the guide, we do advise you to look through the information presented in this article – it will be of use to you.

What is Flquabminc “Virus”?

Let’s start by saying it could not be rightfully classified as a virus. It’s a type of software designed to take over one’s browser and distribute myriads of ads throughout it. The idea is to get the user to click on as many of those ads as possible, as this is the way the developers make money – based on the Pay Per Click scheme. This effective business model does have its rather questionable sides, though. One of them is the fact that programs like Flquabminc.pw can monitor your browsing activity and collect that data to adjust the ads in accordance with your preferences. This way you might even have come to notice some strange similarities between the recent topics you were researching and the ads you started seeing soon after. However, this treasured information is very likely to become someone else’s treasure once the browser hijacker no longer has any need for it. The developers are keen on selling this kind of data to third parties, which is often a serious reason for concern among users. Another risky aspect is directly related to the many ads. Though Flquabminc.pw itself is not a virus or any kind of malware, it does have the capability of exposing you to viruses. For example, if you happen to click on a fake ad, known as a malvertisement, there’s a high risk of getting infected with ransomware or being redirected to some dangerous website.

Safety

Because browser hijackers are for the most part legal programs, you cannot really stop them with the help of an antivirus or antimalware program – it’s not malware. The best course of action is to pay close attention to the apps you seek to download, because it’s very possible that they may have a program like Flquabminc integrated with them. Do your research and make an educated decision as to whether you need a certain app on your phone, if it means having to suffer through tons of ads and questionable activity.
