Eccoemail.com Fraudulent Website. What you need to know.

Every now and then, we all like to indulge in some online shopping. Whether it’s because we don’t have time to do so physically or simply because we prefer the convenience, it’s something that’s become an inherent part of modern society. And there’s a plethora of different types of items that we can purchase with the help of only a few clicks. It’s fast, it’s fun and it’s safe – or so we think.

Unfortunately, not all online stores out there are genuine. As a matter of fact, a whole array of them happens to be fraudulent and exist with the sole purpose of scamming users out of their money. One such fake online store is the so-called Ecco Emall, better known as eccoemall.com. The website alleges to sell branded Ecco shoes and is seemingly legit. But only seemingly. In reality, this is a potentially dangerous website and we would advise users to steer clear of it.

Websites like Ecco Emall and others tend to allow cybercriminals to steal credit card and other payment credentials from buyers. Furthermore, when shopping on websites like this, you are at risk of spending money on something you will never receive. Alternatively, you may receive counterfeit goods, whereas you paid for the real deal.

If you have already shopped from this or other similar websites, we would recommend you contact your bank immediately. It is best to let them know that you used your credit or debit card on a fraudulent website without prior knowledge of it. And this may in turn help prevent any potential damage to you and your funds. Note also that fake online stores like Ecco Emall only have a limited lifespan until they are eventually taken down. But soon after the cybercriminals set up shop again with a different URL, so be very careful any time you come across a new or unfamiliar online vendor.

With that in mind, it’s always best to stick to reputable sellers in the future. That way you will be sure that your details are secure and you will receive what you paid for.
